ATR has announced plans to debut the first hybrid-electric regional aircraft by 2030, a project bolstered by the European Union’s Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking. Centered around ATR’s HERACLES project, the initiative features hybrid-electric propulsion and sustainable aviation fuel capabilities, collaborating with industry leaders such as Safran and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
