    Introduction to T’way Air‘s Rebranding

South Korean airline T’way Air has announced a name change to Trinity Airways, accompanied by a new branding strategy. This changeover process is slated to commence in 2026.

    Background of the Airline

Originally founded as Hansung Airlines in April 2005, the airline was rebranded to T’way in 2010. T’way Air currently operates from Seoul’s Gimpo and Incheon airports, offering flights to 46 destinations in Asia and the Far East, with significant routes to China, Japan, and within South Korea. The airline also extends long-haul services to countries including Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia.

    Current Fleet Composition

    • 11 Airbus A330-200/300
    • 26 Boeing 737-800
    • 4 Boeing 737 MAX 8
    • 2 Boeing 777-300ER

In addition, T’way is awaiting delivery of more Boeing 737 MAX 8 and Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

    The New Identity: Trinity Airways

The name ‘Trinity’ is derived from the Latin term “Trīnitās,” symbolizing the concept of three entities uniting to achieve completeness and creating enhanced value and potential. This new branding initiative will redefine the airline’s corporate priorities and strategic outlook starting in 2026, involving new liveries for its fleet.

    Rationale Behind the Rebranding

The airline has stated, “We believe that fearless transformation builds lasting trust with our customers. This belief drives us to approach things differently.” The rebranding aims to foster stronger customer relationships through innovative changes.
