South African Airways Introduces New Route
South African Airways (SAA) is set to commence a new twice-daily flight service between Johannesburg and Gaborone, Botswana, starting Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This new route aims to cater to the high demand for direct travel between these two cities.
Flight Schedule Details
- Morning Service: Departs Johannesburg at 06:50, arriving in Gaborone at 07:45; the return flight departs Gaborone at 08:25 and arrives back in Johannesburg at 09:25.
- Afternoon Service: Departs Johannesburg at 16:25, arriving in Gaborone at 17:20; the return flight departs Gaborone at 18:00 and arrives in Johannesburg at 19:00.

The SAA Group CEO, Prof. John Lamola emphasized that this new route will enhance the cultural and economic connections between Botswana and South Africa, while also aligning with the airline’s strategy for regional expansion.
