Loganair Confirms New Leadership Amid Punctuality Recognition

Leading UK regional airline Loganair (LM/LOG) has announced several significant appointments as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

    Key Leadership Changes

    • Farrah Malik, with a background at easyJet and John Lewis, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following the departure of Chris Gemmell. Malik brings over two decades of experience in commercial finance and revenue management.
    • Simon McNamara will take on the role of Head of Government & Corporate Affairs starting September 1st. Previously part of Heart Aerospace, McNamara brings valuable experience, particularly in the electrification of regional air travel.

    Operational Excellence and Industry Recognition

These appointments align with Loganair’s commitment to enhancing its operational performance, evidenced by being recognized as the UK’s most punctual airline for the second quarter of 2025. The airline achieved an 86% on-time departure rate.

“Since introducing several transformative initiatives in early 2024, Loganair’s performance has continued to excel. We are pleased to be named the UK’s most punctual airline for the second quarter of 2025,” stated Luke Farajallah, CEO of Loganair. “The addition of Farrah and Simon to our team supports our growth as we deliver exceptional service and expand operations, including our upcoming base in Southampton.”

    Safety Accolades and Future Outlook

Loganair has also received the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. This prestigious certification acknowledges Loganair’s commitment to maintaining high safety standards and positions the airline for potential international collaborations.
