Boeing 737 Overrun Incident Closes Krakow Airport

On September 14, 2025, Krakow Airport was forced to halt operations after a Boeing 737-800 aircraft ran off the runway. The incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. local time when an AirExplore-operated flight on behalf of Enter Air, flight E47030, traveling from Antalya to Krakow, overran runway 25 during a landing attempt in adverse weather conditions. The aircraft eventually came to a stop on an unpaved area adjacent to the runway.

    Details of the Incident

    • Aircraft: Boeing 737-8Q8
    • Registration: OM-FEX
    • Flight Number: E47030
    • Operating Airline: AirExplore for Enter Air
    • Origin: Antalya, Turkey
    • Destination: Krakow, Poland

The runway overrun occurred under difficult conditions with heavy rain. Fortunately, all passengers and crew on board were able to disembark safely without any reported injuries. In response to the incident, Enter Air announced that forthcoming flights for this route would utilize aircraft from its own fleet.

    Impact on Krakow Airport Operations

As a result of the incident, Eurocontrol has reported that both arrivals and departures at Krakow Airport have been suspended. Normal operations are not expected to resume before 20:00 UTC.
