Aer Lingus Relocates to Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport
Aer Lingus, Ireland’s national airline, will transition all flights from Manchester to Ireland to Terminal 2 beginning Tuesday, September 16th. This consolidation comes as part of Manchester Airport’s terminal transformation initiative, designed to streamline operations.
Operations Overview
- All Aer Lingus flights from Manchester to Dublin and Belfast City, operated by Emerald Airlines, will now depart from Terminal 2.
- Transatlantic flights operated by Aer Lingus will also continue to operate from Terminal 2.
Enhanced Passenger Facilities
The shift to Terminal 2 offers passengers improved services and amenities:
- Self-check-in kiosks
- Free Wi-Fi and charging stations
- A wider variety of shops and dining options
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer of Aer Lingus, remarked, “Aer Lingus customers flying between Manchester and Ireland will experience greater comfort and convenience at Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, offering everything necessary for a smooth journey start and finish. This relocation is especially advantageous for passengers in Manchester and Northern England connecting via Dublin to Aer Lingus’ extensive transatlantic network, including destinations like Cancún, Nashville, Indianapolis, Denver, and Las Vegas.”
Preclearance for U.S. Flights
Passengers flying from Dublin to North American destinations can continue to utilize the preclearance facilities at Dublin Airport, allowing for a seamless travel experience upon arrival in the U.S.
