Bell Secures Significant Purchase Agreement with Global Medical Response

Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, and Global Medical Response (GMR) have entered into a purchase agreement for seven Bell 429 helicopters, with an option for an additional eight. This agreement strengthens GMR’s position as the largest operator of Bell aircraft within the emergency medical services sector.

GMR’s Extensive Operations and Strategic Purchase

Headquartered in Lewisville, Texas, GMR operates 381 bases across all 50 U.S. states and internationally. The signing of the agreement at Bell’s Fort Worth headquarters signifies the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in crucial air medical transport.

Advantages of the Bell 429 Helicopter

    • Enhanced speed and range suited for urgent patient transport.
    • Spacious cabin designed to accommodate medical crews and equipment efficiently.
    • Advanced avionics for improved safety and mission efficiency.
    • Proven reliability in challenging operational environments.

The Bell 429 is a twin-engine light helicopter tailored for demanding operations like Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). Its modern flight deck and adaptability enable medical teams to provide swift, life-saving care, even in remote or difficult-to-access locations.

    Commitment to Lifesaving Services

A Global Medical Response spokesperson commented, “Expanding our fleet with the Bell 429 enhances our ability to deliver timely, lifesaving services to patients who rely on us. The reliability and performance of Bell aircraft are integral to our mission.”

As GMR continues to expand its fleet, the agreement ensures quicker response times and wider emergency coverage. The option for eight more helicopters highlights a long-term commitment to enhancing air medical capabilities.

This agreement not only elevates GMR’s operational readiness but also illustrates Bell’s influential role in the evolution of emergency air transport. With an expanded fleet, more lives can be saved by providing critical care services when every second is crucial.
