    Lufthansa Flight LH1425 Declares Emergency and Diverts to Belgrade

    Lufthansa Flight LH1425 Declares Emergency

    An Airbus A321 operating as Lufthansa flight LH1425 from Sofia to Frankfurt declared an emergency shortly after takeoff.

    The flight departed from Sofia, Bulgaria at 12:57 EEST, bound for Frankfurt, Germany.

    After reaching a cruising altitude of 32,000 feet over Romania, the pilots of the Airbus A321, registered as D-AIRA, declared an emergency by squawking 7700.

    • 12:52 CEST: The aircraft made a successful landing on runway 12L at Belgrade Airport.
