BCT Aviation Maintenance Secures Contracts for Boeing 777F at East Midlands Airport

    Date: January 9, 2025

BCT Aviation Maintenance has successfully secured several maintenance contracts for Boeing 777F cargo aircraft at its facility located at East Midlands Airport (EMA/EGNX). These agreements aim to enhance the maintenance services provided to various cargo carriers operating at the airport.

    Central Airlines Partnership

Chinese cargo airline, Central Airlines, has engaged BCT Aviation Maintenance for line maintenance services on its two Boeing 777F aircraft. These aircraft are utilized in collaboration with logistics company Yun Express, flying into East Midlands Airport twice a week.

Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services Collaboration

Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services have also partnered with BCT for line maintenance support. The airline operates a Boeing 777F weekly between East Midlands Airport and China, further bolstering the maintenance operations under BCT’s management.

Both Central Airlines and Ethiopian Cargo aim to increase their flight frequencies at the East Midlands hub in the future.

BCT takes a proactive approach to maintenance that minimizes deferred defects and maximizes high dispatch reliability, ensuring that our dedicated engineering support delivers the highest levels of operational safety. Having been established at EMA for over fifteen years, it’s so gratifying for us to see how much the airport has developed and how important it has become to the UK for air freight. We look forward to continuing this development journey as a major airport partner.”

    Significance of East Midlands Airport

East Midlands Airport is recognized as the UK’s fastest-growing cargo airport. It serves as a crucial hub for prominent cargo operators, including DHL and Aerologic, further cementing its status as an essential player in the logistics and air cargo industry.
