Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national airline of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330neo aircraft.
Details of the A330neo
The aircraft, registered as TU-TRG, is the first of two A330-900 widebody aircraft ordered from the European manufacturer. It features a four-class cabin configuration, including:
- 4 First Class seats
- 44 Business Class seats
- 21 Premium Economy seats
- 173 Economy Class seats
Expansion Plans
Currently serving 22 destinations throughout Africa, Air Côte d’Ivoire intends to use the A330-900 fleet to expand into European markets, beginning with flights to Paris, France. The airline further plans to extend its network to the Middle-East and North America.
Humanitarian Effort
During the delivery flight from Toulouse to Abidjan, the aircraft carried five tonnes of humanitarian goods, which included essential materials and school supplies. This initiative was Air Côte d’Ivoire’s third goodwill flight, organized in partnership with the Airbus Foundation and supported by Aviation Sans Frontières, which provided the donations.
