Cathay Pacific to Resume Seattle Flights in 2026

Cathay Pacific (CX) is set to reinstate its non-stop passenger flights to Seattle (SEA) on March 30, 2026. This addition marks Seattle as the ninth North American destination served by the airline, reinforcing its global hub in Hong Kong and enhancing connectivity to the U.S. West Coast.

Recently, Cathay Pacific launched direct services to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), with an expansion to daily services starting October 26, 2025. Alongside the Seattle route, the airline offers one of its most comprehensive North American schedules ever.

    Commitment to U.S. Gateways

The relaunch of the Seattle flights demonstrates Cathay Pacific’s dedication to maintaining a consistent presence in key U.S. markets. Seattle, being a technology and cultural center, provides passengers traveling between Asia and the United States with an additional entry point.

Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, noted that this route will cater to increasing demand from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and India, facilitating connections to over 100 onward destinations through Cathay Pacific’s global network.

    Flight Schedule and Aircraft Details

The Hong Kong–Seattle route will employ the Airbus A350-900, featuring business, premium economy, and enhanced economy class cabins.

This five-times-weekly service aligns with Cathay Pacific’s 2026 summer schedule, which includes over 110 return flights per week across nine North American cities, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Tickets for the Hong Kong-Seattle route are available for purchase today. To celebrate, Cathay Pacific offers promotional round-trip Economy fares starting at HK$5,060 for bookings made between September 22 and October 31, 2025, for travel between March 30 and June 30, 2026.

    Enhanced Customer Experience

The airline continues to improve its offerings across North American routes. It recently unveiled the Aria Suite in Business Class, redesigned Premium Economy, and refreshed Economy cabins for some Vancouver flights. Furthermore, in 2026, Cathay Pacific will debut its first dedicated U.S. airport lounge in the new Terminal 6 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, spanning nearly 10,000 square feet.

Passengers across all cabins can enjoy award-winning in-flight entertainment and menus developed with chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants in Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific’s A350-900 aircraft will enhance cargo operations on the Seattle route, utilizing bellyhold capacity to support the airline’s freighter network, which aims for close to 40 weekly North American return services during the 2026 summer season.
